Ms. Sania Abdul Jalil
Ms. Sania Abdul Jalil is a public health researcher with a clinical background in optometry. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Optometry from the Pakistan Institute of Community Ophthalmology, Khyber Medical University, and later earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from Khyber Medical University. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Management from the Health Services Academy, Islamabad, which strengthened her understanding of health systems and hospital-based services.
She is currently working as a Research Assistant in the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at Khyber Medical University. She is involved in nationally and internationally funded research projects, including NIHR- and HRI-linked studies. Her work includes participant screening, data collection, study documentation, and ensuring compliance with research protocols in both community and clinical settings.
Her research experience includes quantitative and qualitative approaches, with a focus on community mental health and public health research. She has practical experience in statistical analysis and evidence synthesis, using tools such as SPSS, R, and RevMan to support public health research and systematic reviews. Her academic and professional interests include mental health, health equity, disability, and evidence-based public health interventions.
She has presented her research at national and international conferences and has contributed to systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and research protocols. She continues to build her expertise in public health research and health systems–focused studies.
