Evaluation of Basic Medical Care Services for People Who Inject Drugs (PWIDs)

Health Solutions International (HSI) successfully conducted an evaluation of Behavior Modification Counseling (BMC) services targeted at People Who Inject Drugs (PWIDs) to enhance the quality of care and effectiveness of service delivery.

  • Proposal & Inception:
    Designed the project framework by developing a detailed proposal and inception report, ensuring alignment with the client’s objectives and Global Fund standards.

  • Field Surveys:
    Executed extensive field visits to Community Outreach and Primary Care (COPC) sites. Engaged directly with PWIDs to capture their experiences and collaborated with Nai Zindagi management to gain insights into operational challenges.
  • Data Analysis & Insights:
    Performed a comprehensive analysis of collected data to evaluate the impact of BMC services and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Reporting & Recommendations:
    Delivered a comprehensive evaluation report, including actionable, data-driven recommendations to optimize service delivery and program outcomes.
  • Global Best Practices:
    Ensured that all project activities adhered to Global Fund guidelines and reflected international best practices in harm reduction services.

Impact:

The evaluation provided valuable insights to improve BMC services for PWIDs, ensuring more effective harm reduction strategies and better healthcare outcomes for this vulnerable population.
